This is a new student assessment session for figure skaters that want to start private lessons with me. The 40 minute lesson includes a complete assessment of all skating skills including technical skills such as jumping and spinning, and program component skills such as edges, footwork, and basic skating skills. Following the lesson, the skater and parents' will be given a written assessment containing an overview of their current level of ability, and identity strengths and weaknesses in their current condition.
In consultation with the skater and parents as to the skater's goals (recreational, testing, competitive, show skating, etc... and where they would like to be), short term and long term, I will layout a suggested training plan and recommended schedule (including both on and off ice recommendations) to help the skater achieve those goals given the skaters time and financial resources.
